
A road rage incident in Glen Burnie has led to a Baltimore man facing serious charges, including felony assault and firearms violations, following an altercation last September. Kyron Lambert Jr., 22, of Baltimore, was arrested and is now awaiting a commissioner hearing at the Baltimore County Detention Center, according to a report provided by the Maryland State Police. Lambert's charges stem from an event that occurred on the morning of September 30, where he allegedly brandished a handgun at another driver on I-695 at Route 97.
The confrontation did not result in physical injury, but the victim's quick report to the Maryland State Police Glen Burnie Barrack allowed for an immediate response and the assailant's identification through the Maryland State Police Highway Gun Crime Initiative, Lambert was arrested Yesterday at his residence, where authorities executed a search warrant and seized multiple firearms including a Glock 43X 9mm handgun, along with assorted magazines and ammunition, and importantly also seizing a Black Canik METE 9mm handgun from Lambert's vehicle and a Ruger 9mm handgun at the residence of Lambert’s father.
While Lambert faces various traffic-related offenses, his charges encompass first and second-degree assault, firearm use in the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving; additional charges for resisting arrest and obstructing and hindering were also levied on the 22-year-old. The arrest and subsequent weapons seizure highlight the Maryland State Police's ongoing effort to mitigate highway-related gun violence.
The Maryland State Police are asking the public for information regarding the murders of Delonte Hicks and Charles Marks, as well as other highway gun crimes. Anyone with information can call 410-538-1887 and may remain anonymous. Authorities say tips will assist ongoing investigations.
